It's just apparently still cool to hate and blame EA for everything a decade after we started to do so. 

I’ve replayed them recently and they really aren’t “bad” like lots of people say. The speed can feel a little wonky and the camera angles are par for the course for an early 3D game. But they still feel a hell of a lot more fun to play than 90% of the 3D sonic games after adventure 2.

I’m kind of with you on this. With the logic most people are using with this, any hate group has a kind of power over us just by adopting the use of already existing hand gestures,words, etc. I mean, look at Pepe, poor guy.

It's almost like it's a video game and some things need to be embellished for the sake of entertainment.

I’m not sure what you mean about matching. My battery pack is black, yeah but the cover still fits over it and I just have to plug in my controller to charge it. Then again I also have the Microsoft licensed play and charge battery (which has been going strong since 2013, so no complaints at all.)
