I'm glad to know there's a workaround for the coming Kinjapocalypse. I lurk more than I participate, but the AVClub's one of the few places where I read most, if not all, of the comments (& where I find them enlightening/funny/interesting as opposed to rage-inducing). see you all on the other side! <3

SAME. that reveal was truly magical.

I KNEW THAT GUY LOOKED FAMILIAR!! thank you.

same, until I momentarily glance away from the screen & suddenly all is meaningless.

that's fantastic. thank you for sharing it with the world.

you can also douse the chips in hot sauce before adding the cheese. preferably chili-garlic Cholula.

& in 2018. legislative takeover before we wrest control of the White House.

you used that line already. careful, pretty soon the oligarchs will realize you're not giving them their money's worth.

I think that's a pretty solid ranking, & I'll second the exhortation to try out MGS even if you're unfamiliar. I'd passively (in the "being in the same room with someone playing it" sense) experienced 2, 3, & 4, but MGS5 captivated me—in addition to all its other good qualities, the interface is super intuitive. it's

that also checks out! if you haven't heard any Lizzo yet, she's my new favorite in addition to RtJ, & she just dropped a new EP last week.

wow, you have…the EXACT same taste in music as me. uncanny.

same…also, "my" version had "admission is free, so pay at the door, pull up a chair and sit on the floor" instead of the "I come before you…" line. and it was "bowlegged mosquitos and cross-eyed ants."

it was a real C+ show, that's for sure.

:_(

gahhh, I'm still so mad there's no weekly coverage of this show. it continues to be great, week after week. I mean c'mon—the most recent episode had Jemaine Clement as a priest & an incest-duet music video! what more could you possibly want out of a late-summer comedy series.

I agree—it deserves the highest possible grade.

I'm glad my decision to ctrl+F "miserly crones" on this story was rewarded.

this is a safe space, right? so it's okay to confess that I put "Drops of Jupiter" on the mix CD I made for my soon-to-be ex-boyfriend when we were heading off to college? & did so with complete sincerity?

I still can't listen to "Danny's Song" without screaming "OHHH, SHIT!" right as the first chorus starts (or wanting to scream it, if I'm in public).

nothing pithy to add except…this episode was so good! (I've been dealing with a TiVo backlog and just watched it.) I felt like it reminded me why I've stuck with this show. the whole Indogene-spy-infiltrates-Defiance-militia plot reminded me of TNG (in a good, not derivative, way) and I loved Datak's* triumphant blend
