Big Fish Theory too.

That would be a much better explanation but I think given how he depicts the therapist-patient relationship and the bafflingly racist way he writes dialogue for both black and Indian characters it is probably giving Matthew Quick too much credit.

The biggest problem with the relationship in Silvers Linings Playbook is that they get set up BECAUSE of their mental illnesses, which is just wildly insulting. "Hey Pat, you're super fucked up right? Because I have a CRAZY ASS sister who would be perfect for you!".

Lol you are being waaaay too hard on Calvin Harris. He hasn't "sucked ass" his whole career. I Created Disco is a dope album, Ready for the Weekend has it's moments and 18 Months had some killer singles ("Sweet Nothing", "I Need Your Love"). You really would have been embarrassed the next day if you got drunk and

That's a good way of putting it. His production is really good and he's a decent enough singer but trying to sit down and listen to Hellboy from front to back was tough.

Jay-Z - 4:44
those three new Joey Bada$$/Statik Selektah songs that came out today
Tyler the Creator's new ones with A$AP Rocky and Frank Ocean
M83 - Midnight City
Forest Swords - Compassion
Perfume Genius - No Shape

It was a meme gif of him during one of his WWE appearances bodyslamming a wrestler with the CNN logo photoshopped over his face.

There is for sure but he hasn't made a song like "HUMBLE" since like "Backseat Freestyle" which itself was supposed to be tongue in cheek within the narrative of GKMC (maybe "i" but even that dealt with some pretty heavy themes).

You think Humanz sounds as cohesive as an album as Demon Days?

I've heard quotes that he wanted to make a soundtrack for the end of the world and also that he brought in artists that he thought would impress his daughter. So apparently his daughter has good taste but that doesn't seem like a great way to put an album together.

The first time I listened to "Report to the Shareholders/Kill Your Masters" I remember thinking "This is great but De La Rocha would push it over the top on some "Close Your Eyes (And Count to Fuck)" shit so when his verse started I went nuts. That uncredited guest appearance was such an awesome surprise.

I am a huge fan of many of the guests Damon brought in (Danny Brown, Vince Staples, Pusha T, Kelela) and I like several of the songs but it just felt like it was a playlist of randomly thrown together tracks rather than an album. It didn't have a lot of cohesion and it definitely isn't an album that I needed to listen

I was a big fan around RIOT! and Brand New Eyes but wouldn't have checked on the new album if I didn't like the two singles so much but damn if it's not one of my favorite albums of the year so far.

Vince Staples - Yeah Right feat. Kendrick Lamar and Kucka
Kendrick - DNA
Kendrick - Feel
Calvin Harris - Slide feat. Frank Ocean and Migos
Frank Ocean - Chanel
Sampha - Blood on Me
Sampha - (No One Knows Me) Like The Piano
Sampha - Reverse Faults
French Montana - Unforgettable feat. Swae Lee
SZA - Drew Barrymore
Paramore - Hard

-I like to think that DAMN. was Kendrick's way of saying "Ok I'm gonna take a step back from the really socially conscious music I've been making and just show every rapper out there that if I wanted to hop on these Mike Will beats I can do that too and do it better than anyone else out there on the radio."

NPR streamed CHVRCHES and Miguel a week before they were out and I will forever be grateful to them for that.

Jesus Christ, NPR is buying into that nonsense? They're better than that.

I don't quite know what "brostep" is but if I were to describe The Chainsmokers music that would be a good term to use and they are tearing the charts up!

1. Kendrick Lamar - DAMN.
2. Sampha - Process
3. Vince Staples - Big Fish Theory
4. SZA - Control
5. Lorde - Melodrama
6. Paramore - After Laughter
7. Royce da 5'9 - Bar Exam 4
8. Slowdive - Slowdive
9. Joey Bada$$ - All Amerikkkan Badass
10. Thundercat - Drunk

No, I agree with everything you said. I do think it's a good movie but you're right about everything even as far back as when they arrive at the house and the brother and father's responses to Chris before the party where right off the bat it was obvious what was going on. Hell it was obvious when the brother was
