Kendrick's verse is fucking insane even by his standards. That's a dream collab track all the way.

Perfectly said. I love that he's working with people like Flume and Sophie. This and Atrocity Exhibition are truly some next level shit.

Earl is talented as fuck but he was never going to be a superstar. I think he was always destined to be an underground rapper like his idol DOOM.

Lol I really like the album a lot but calling virtually any album that hasn't been out for 24 hours a classic is silly.

That has always been his one weakness as a rapper is he falls into "repeating the same thing for hooks" because his flow, lyricism and ear for beats are all fantastic.

The production is still wild so it's ok. SOPHIE and Flume came through.

That "Fuller House" theme is a fucking bop, too. She can do no wrong.

It reads like he straight up hasn't listened to any of his solo albums.

Danny Brown has to have the most eclectic list of collaborations in history: from non traditional hip hop and/or indie/pop/etc. like Gorillaz, The Avalanches, Purity Ring, Vampire Weekend, Charli XCX, Rustie, Paul White, Kelela to underground guys like Your Old Droog, BONES, Elzhi, Das Racist, Mr. Muthafuckin eXquire

I know they're two separate bands, obviously. I was offering them as an alternative based on "The Freshmen" (I don't remember "Photograph") since it seems unfair to label The Verve as a "one hit wonder".

Damn that song was huge too. I remember it was in a really popular Nike commercial.

Seriously, catchy as fuck.

And yet "Run Away With Me" still only topped out at #83 in her home country. It's like there's some sort of conspiracy at this point.

In what universe is Boomiverse "exactly like" Vicious Lies & Dangerous Rumors and especially Sir Lucious Left Foot? Sir Lucious Left Foot is one of the best rap albums of the past decade and Boomiverse had like 4 good songs on it.

I haven't listened to the whole album yet but Kendrick's verse is ridiculous.

I refuse to acknowledge Carly Rae Jepsen as a one hit wonder when everything Justin Bieber shits out immediately rockets to the top of the charts and the b sides of her b sides are better than literally anybody in pop is doing.

I think it does at least in America which is kind of silly considering how accomplished they are otherwise. Nothing else really caught on here though. The Verve Pipe definitely count!

I'd say it's either that or "This is How We Do It" but Montell Jordan had another hit that nobody remembers ("Let's Ride" with Master P and Silkk the Shocker)!

I just feel like "Lucky Man" had to have been a hit even though I know it wasn't, at least in America.

Wikipedia's list of "one hit wonders of the 00's" is ridiculous. On what planet are Gorillaz, Korn, Incubus, Moby, System of a Down and Common "one hit wonders"?
