It’s infuriating but not at all surprising that the president is going to label these guys as a terrorist group. And of course there will be no classification as such for Proud Boys dorks. I’m here in Columbus right now and both groups showed up but it wasn’t either of them that was the problem.

The idiotic thing is that Twitter would be liable for Trump’s most egregious lies, like insinuations of Joe Scarborough committing murder. Twitter would have to take that tweet down entirely or it could be sued by Scarborough and the family members of Lori Klausutis.

The FCC’s jurisdiction over content on the public airwaves does not extend to the Internet, full stop. This is not even a close question. The Supreme Court made that clear in ACLU v. Reno, the decision that threw out most of the CDA.
