I totally understand your point of view but the show won me over. It wasn't the best comedy but it was proper feel good, plus It was a treat to watch Justina Machado (probably spelling that wrong,) and Rita Moreno on TV every week

Aw, it’s a shame but 4 seasons is enough. I’ll always be thankful of the time when I was depressed and the only thing I could stomach watching was S2 of ODAAT. I needed that escape.

This was also when every article about Anne Hathaway would feature comments talking about masturbating to her. When people say “I miss the old AV Club” I have to wonder.

He wasn’t even the least bit subtle in his abuse. He was straight up breaking his son’s fingers. He was such a straight up psycho in his scenes I never brought that he never got caught.

Yeah, I remember that, keeping Lithgow as a perfect family man would have been such a better story and bigger moral challenge for Dexter. Making him a monster at home was just one of many of Dexter’s cop-outs.

On a narrative level, the finale of Lost is kind of incoherent. But at least the show still works on a character level. That absolutely isn’t true of Game of Thrones or Dexter

The first season is I think the best. It is all classic urban legend/horror tropes structured in a “monster of the week” format with an narrative arc developing very slowly until it picks up towards the end of the season (somewhat like Babylon 5, the first 5 seasons were sketched out beforehand but that only becomes

*thinks about it*

Also, dude was suspended after his students went to the dean. I like how the definition of "cancelled" is broad enough to include temporary disciplinary action handled through normal workplace channels.

The students said some of them had voiced their concern to Patton during his lecture, but that he’d used the word in following class sections anyway. They also said they’d reached out to fellow Chinese students, who ‘confirmed that the pronunciation of this word is much different than what Professor Patton described

There’s also the simple fact that offering an apology doesn’t obligate people to forgive you. It’s not a matter of people “believing” an apology.

I’m glad Fincher was specific. If anyone can find an example of “a truly heartfelt apology and no one believes it”, I’d love to know.

I would 100% watch the hell out of a Prison Break with a gay Michael Scofield.

I still believe to this day that they only ever planned on doing 1 season and then had no idea what to do after moving onto the obvious (on the run) plot.

love this, I know this is unfair to compare him to Russel Tovey (just both gay, both very straight seeming), but I always bothered by Tovey hating on the femme community. This makes me happy how Miller is really embracing his sexuality.

Yes, tell ‘em, WM! Quite frankly, the last two seasons of Prison Break were just no good and unnecessary, so I can’t fathom them trying to get everyone back together for a sixth season.

I doubt he’s that hands-on with most of his umpteen shows.

These show have had problems like this before (sexual harasser Andrew Kreisberg, anyone? He was for years one of the bosses), I wouldn’t write off her accusations.

I mean, there was the problem of one of the main showrunners being a serial sexual harasser and getting away with it for years...

It’s because these people are too stupid to comprehend what they are doing. It has gotten to the point where it’s no longer amusing or frustrating to witness because they are just too far gone. They don’t get it and they never will. They will just continue going on and living their simple, angry lives no matter what.
