My quick dirty review of this book: the parts about Danny Torrance as an adult, his addiction, his alienation, and (to a lesser extent) his relationship with Abra Stone were all pretty decent.

I’m a Brit who rarely drinks alcohol socially, and I’ve never had any crap about it. People assume you’re the designated driver, or an alcoholic.

Many are, yeah, there seems to be a slight distrust of people who don’t drink, though why people care so much I can’t explain.
