I see a lot of people saying trading Ovechkin would be dumb. As a fan of this team for over 30 years, the last 12 with Ovechkin has been EXTREMELY frustrating. He absolutely isn’t “the problem,” but I think at this point, the vast majority of people following this team are certain he’s not “the solution” either.
That’s been my beef with it. Not a perfect analogy, but think about the NFL, MLB, NHL and many soccer leagues around the world that have some form of video review... They wouldn’t allow a system to be implemented if every stadium/venue didn’t meet some minimum requirements to carry out the review.

The stats don’t really line up with you. Midway through the game, the Leafs had something like a dozen more quality shots/chances; by the end of the game, the Caps led in that category by two. The started the game playing like dogshit, they got it together down the stretch.
