I was following the discussion about "Bismuth" after it aired, and yeah, I'm still not okay with the handling of that episode at all.

Honestly, I considered the possibility that Pink Diamond faked her death and Rose helped in some way. I was thinking about how it seems Earth was PD first and only colony. It seems weird to me, why she didn't colonize as many planets as her "sisters"? It's odd.

I actually forgot that the control panel was broken from It Could Have Been Great, so I was so tense to their meeting with YD where the lie would become obvious.

I got the impression that the "water wings" in her gem are not actually water

I was thinking more in the line of "remember that time that you saw x? except x never happened" "Oh, sure"

this whole episode was hilarious, it almost makes me want the rubies to become Crystal Gems too.

I got the impression that the traingle in that gem chest was supposed to be her gem. But yeah, I guess it could be that too.

Considering Garnet very existence was basically an act of treason and defiance in the eyes of Homeworld I think this makes a lot of sense. Seems reasonable to me.

All gem monsters seem to share similar traits accordingly to the type of gem they were (as seen in the quartz monsters of the last episodes). Since Pink Diamond seems to be one of a kind, they would not have a reference for a gem monster like that.

and it was also mine…? I mean, your point is that the gems /would/ know that Lion was a corrupted gem just by looking. Mine is that they never checked, they don't know.

They don't even seem to know what Lion is, or have an interest in knowing. How would they be able to call Steven out in something they had no knowledge whatsoever?
