I traded my 2010 Merc C350 for a 2012 Chevy Volt. Edmunds True Cost To Own lists the 5yr fuel, maintenance, and repairs cost for the Merc at $24k and the Volt at $8k. (I’ve kept track and in 4yrs and 40k miles, I’ve spent $1,200 on fuel, maintenance, and repairs. Although I could use new tires, so let’s call it $2k.)…

I believe I’m also subsidizing your oil wars and climate change disasters. Which when last added up were far greater than the EV subsidies.
