I really enjoyed it. It was corny in the Muppets tradition, and there were some good laughs to be had. My only complaint is that the two human protagonists were both annoying, but thankfully once you get past the beginning of the film they don't show up as much.

I think Gastly's name is Ghos, and Haunter's name is Ghost. Very inspired stuff.

Came here to say the same thing. Wasn't it in development even earlier than the N64, though? I mean, of course there's the mention in EB about EarthBound 2, but I thought they started working on it pretty soon after EB. Or am I misremembering things?
