Also Obama ordering re-vetting is different from a complete ban. How do these people not realize that?

This is so dangerous. Once someone from the administration says something, it becomes fact to a certain group of people. It doesn’t matter if they make an attempt to retract it (p.s. despite some articles I’ve been reading, I don’t see the above as a retraction, it’s almost more of a doubling down.)

What’s even more bizarre about this is that Fredrick Douglass is one of like, 6 black people who you learn about in public school (along with Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, MLK, Chrispus Attucks and Dred Scott). Most 8th graders could probably tell you that Douglass isn’t exactly a contemporary figure.
