It’s interesting that the Tracy/Torch farewell post has 532 comments and this one has 115

“Everything’s awful, I used my position to drive the best car ever built, but won’t tell you about it, also I’m going to go work in car auctions, something my writers make fun of, bye!”

This place has become the equivalent of checking the refrigerator every 10 minutes in hope of finding something good. Were it not for Rob and Mercedes there’d be no reason to keep doing that and I,for one, hope those two find their way to The Autopians so all the good writers can be found in one basket

Seeing how the posts are always littered with crazy errors I don’t think you’ll be missed

Jalopnik:  The “probationary period of automotive journalism” whereupon you either prove yourself and inevitably move on to a platform that does not suck, OR you hang up your keyboard and get a ‘real job’.

Because the site is in excellent shape

More like going out with a sad, indifferent trombone.

But try to remember that for reasons that might not be apparent to you, things change. Things break.

Buh bye!

Wow another one gone?
I want to joke that jalopnik is the training ground for half the world’s motoring journalists. It seems everyone’s been through here at some time

Doesn’t matter who’s left. Rory can turn the lights off on his way out anyway.

A-fucking-men.

So who’s left to turn the lights out?

damn, brah

The love for cars and driving just isn’t there with the new crop.  Quite the opposite, in many cases.  A weird attitude for someone who wants to work at a car enthusiast website.

Because the site is in excellent shape, because we have a great staff who are more than capable of maintaining Jalopnik’s place at the top of its competitive set and growing it from there, we were all able to send them off without concern for the site’s future.

Turn off the lights.

More turnovers than The Takeout. Sigh.

Ah. So the Bugatti drive was the quintessential “going out with a bang.”
