I think you have a good point in giving some latitude for non-PC things. BUT, in the context of this movie, we have to acknowledge that this is very wrong and thanks to new laws very illegal. 

I get the sentiment, and maybe for a drama or non comedy..but I think comedies should still have wide latitude to do non-PC things if it is funny. The suspension of disbelief in comedies is pretty high and I think most people with working brains know some of the things comedies do you should not do in real life. In…

I mean, it’d be different if it was a snuff film of some sort or anything with alleged non-consenting material (Last Tango...), but since the problem is the writing of the scene and how it’s presented, seems pretty reasonable to include it so you can make up your own mind.

Honestly I like this idea. It gives people a chance to reimagine classic characters and see themselves instead of making the assumption that the characters are white by default.

We can’t have art with layers any more, it’s too easy to criticise. Characters must begin perfect, remain that way, and instruct the audience on good hygiene while they’re at it.

Did everyone also miss the fact that Taika Waititi, who directed the movie and played imaginary Hitler, is half Jewish. Most of Hollywood may be trash but I trust Taika Waititi.

Watch the damn film before making a comment on it. JoJo Rabbit is objectively one of the least hateful films ever made. This isn’t glorifying Nazi’s or fascism it shows the tragic consequences of buying into ideology of hate and how humanity has to be stronger than it.

Ummmmm... ya I’m going to just say I respectfully disagree with pretty much your entire take.  

My grandmother survived the Holocaust by being smuggled around German attics. Jojo Rabbit was my favorite movie of 2019. This is an appalling take on a movie that tells today’s kids what being a Nazi looks like and how to stop being a Nazi, by putting it in a frame they will actually pay attention to.

JoJo Rabbit isn’t trying to make you laugh along with Nazis. It illustrates how absurd the beliefs about the Jews were, how propaganda can influence even children, and how we must never stop fighting fascism.

Dude, watch the movie. You’re talking out of your ass right now and making a fool of yourself. You’re not being unfair, you’re being stupid. Did you also think Life is Beautiful was pro-Nazi?
