By the time I got to the end of the game the feet (or lack thereof) grew on me. For some characters it looked good (sorcerer, dark knight and dark flier I think) that being said I still wish they had their feetz. Cheers!

Here's the I told you so - http://kotaku.com/mystery-solved… Sorta..
He's got the arms of a wee lad.
Why does it need 2 HDMI ports? Serious question.
Glad to see Icewind Dale make the list, however I think Diablo 1 and 2 are worthy of a spot!
So good!
Really? Its one of the reasons I enjoyed the game so much. Much similarly to Zelda. I felt apart of the storyline and had my own ideas of what my character felt and thought. When the character speaks its all predetermined.
I didn't know that. Cool fact, thanks.
Ah this is a good point and makes a lot of sense. I still have a huge pool of buds that have yet to play the first bioshock and they dig the trailers.
Yes thanks, this is what I thought.
I can't remember. Did the protagonist of the previous Bioshocks ever speak?
SPOILER! ITS NOT MARTH
You still disregard the fact that in the cutscenes the characters have fully functional feet and not the chibi style.
You made a horrible comparison here. Windwaker - is the perfect example of how to pull off chibi. As you can see, his face is large, round, over exaggerated eyes, shorter limbs, and BAM tiny feet. They all match and go hand in hand. Further more his feet are not a couple pixels that JUT out, they are more bulbous.
Its a compromising design choice made to save time, solve a problem the easiest and cheapest way possible. There is no aesthetic, or design sense in removing a piece of anatomy. The only way they could have made this work was to change the models so that the proportions of the body matched the shorter subby legs. The…
I'm sorry, they're not feet. Have you played the game? Watch the animated cutscenes where they have FULLY fleshed out fucking feet. One doesn't change the character models for animated cutscenes and 3D models. Give me a break. Are you an artist? Do you draw at all? Have you been a fan of chibi? If so then you'd…
Those are not feet, and its not a style. What you're seeing is the base of the ankle where the foot is suppose to start extending outward but gets cut off. The character models were originally designed WITH FEET (as they are in the cutscenes) And then removed as an afterthought because clipping and rigging the feet to…
So laziness got the best of them? We're a major developer, developing a game with a huge reputation. Fuck it, this is taking too long, cut the feet off.
They would be cute if the rest of the models were designed in this fashion. Because they cut the feet off the rest of the limbs feel off. The proportions are wrong.
Its not a design choice. Its obvious at that. Its a fuck up, a big fuck up, an annoying fuck up and I've been complaining about it everywhere because it drives me insane. It throws the proportions of the models off entirely. If the art direction was chibi - those well polished animated cutscenes would also have those…
