too many parents think that just because their kids are the most important things in their lives, their kids should be the most important things in everyone else’s lives too.

I’m ready for y’all to fight me on this...but...

I do that on the bus so that nobody takes the seat next to me. Works 99% of the time. But that 1%? Oh man.

(Oh good, the “whether kids belong” thread)

Its far cheaper to “trip” and “accidentally” dump a glass of water on the thing.

You do not listen to ANYTHING in public without headphones, full stop.

I just like how maybe 20-25% of the population qualify as “supertasters,” but it seems like 99% of the people on the internet claim to be one.

Even boneless, skinless chicken thighs are better than chicken breasts. If you can get chicken breasts that aren’t super huge and even organic, then they taste better and remain juicy when cooked. Otherwise, the only thing they are good for is a casserole or some other preparation where they are covered in some sort

Me learning that America has caught on to chicken thighs and driven up the price:

hopefully this means we’re slowly (and it is indeed slow) realizing that natural fats are not bad for you. Eating natural fats doesn’t necessarily make you fat. eating a “low fat” diet doesn’t mean you won’t get fat. Eating a shit diet of too many calories of shit food means you’ll get fat. Eating natural fats won’t

Sorry but you can blame BBQ joints and competitions for that.

Dark meat and breast meat might as well come from two different animals. Anyone who picks breast meat over dark meat is freaking nuts. The thigh meat is just so much juicier, more tender, and flavorful. If you don’t get the breast meat within like the first hour of a roasted chicken, you  might as well be eating

Hamburger meat used to cost less than fresh produce in the ‘50s and was the cheapest way to feed a family. Lobster used to be the food of the poorest people in fishing villages, with the middle- and higher-class folks turning their noses up at it. The only constant in the universe, sadly, is change.

The same thing happened to brisket and skirt steak.

The thighs were my little value secret (since the wings got all jacked up) and now I have lost them too!

Chicken thighs are by far the best part. While I don’t like that the price is going up, it would be nice if some restaurants start offering it instead of breasts.

This kid easily has better business sense than Donald Trump, someone should teach him how not to dress like him.

Before I start, let me make it clear that given our current healthcare system in the US, all employers should cover health benefits for employees.

I have an issue with employers adding something like an employee-benefit surcharge or a health insurance surcharge. They’re adding a surcharge to compensate their employees?

Excellence doesn’t make this OK. They need to actually put it in their prices, so their prices reflect the cost of doing business. People have complained for decades about hidden fees in cable bills, phone bills, bank accounts, and so on, but we should just accept bringing that model to restaurants? No.
