Palin’s extensive and exhaustive diaries (John Cleese, you may yawn now, if you like) detail his longtime love of travel, his longing for it even during the heyday of Python and with small children and his wife waiting at home and an aging father losing his faculties.

I love the Crusades series, I watch it through once a year. Love all his documentaries, like Rome, Egypt, Medieval life, and sex and so on.

Terry Jones hosted “The Story of 1", a doc about the history of numbers.

Michael Palin was always my favourite Python. He’s just utterly, ridiculously, delightfully and wonderfully charming in everything he does. And as for The Death of Stalin...just watch it.  It’s incredibly darkly funny and there are moments where you won’t just burst out laughing - you’ll positively shriek.

I absolutely love fellow Python alumni Terry Jones documentary history series Crusades (1995). He had a way of making the times come alive and seem a little silly. I love his other history documentaries too when they show up. Heck, John Cleese did a great documentary on wines once.

Now playing

Michael Palin did a travel show as early as 1980 for the BBC called Great Railway Journeys of the World (later shortened to Great Railway Journeys).

And after.

My husband is from the midwest and never heard of this before. I am from Delaware and it is a family tradition for this to show up at Thanksgiving/Christmas/4th of July. He doesn’t understand why it is included with the main meal foods (buffet style always) and not the desserts.  I don’t understand what confuses him

Actually, we can call her a spoiled little brat if you like...but at least she knows to ask “I’m a vegetarian, and that chicken caesar looks really good...except for the chicken part. Anything you can do for me?” rather than “That chicken Cesar looks really good except for the chicken...can you knock $5 off?”

Your sister is NOT a vegitarian.can we just stop this? Call her a pescatarian.

This person trying to reduce the bill and therefore the tip for the poor server even more, since he/she clearly is already eating alone.

I believe you. But I don’t WANT to believe you.

No, there are real people like this out in the world.  Like I was talking to the GM of a breakfast place and she was telling me how she gets people asking for discounts on the five dollar breakfast special if they only get it with one egg instead of two

This is quite literally one of the dumbest questions I’ve ever read.

And then prepare for the most awkward “what’re you in for?” conversation imaginable.

A lot of Ice Cream companies do put a plastic seal around their packages now.  Seeing this makes me buy those for sure

I expect this sort of behavior of teenagers, and I expect them to be dumb enough to put their crimes on social media, but a 36 year old? Good God.

Tip: ice cream containers are frozen upside down so the lid is frozen on. If the lid feels loose when you pick it up, someone has tampered with it.

Some states have more strict food tampering laws, as people can be seriously sickened or die from food tampering. This falls into that category.

As unlikely as it is that I would ever come across one of these befouled products, I could not have picked a better time to start making ice cream at home.
