In related news, they can save more than $10 million a year by firing him

The fact that Monsanto couldn’t present better experts is astonishing. They employ an incredible number of scientists, many of whom have experience testifying in court cases.

I am surprised that it made it this long.  The first season was appointment TV for me, but the second season was unwatchable.  I haven’t seen an episode since about half way through S2.  And I have been wondering how much they have to pay Taraji P Henson to stay on there. She is too good for it.

She could kill any appetite.

I find nothing works better than my chef’s knife, so you aren’t that weird.

Are they taking the scissors apart to wash them?  Because if not, they are going to get gross, fast.

After I give up all personal grooming, I will have to stay home, so that will decrease ride sharing but significantly increase the need for delivery and online shopping.

Finally, a food trend I can get behind. I love a runny egg on top of crispy hash browns.

Sorry.  My mistake.

I know that shop.  I have a friend in Cuba!

I lump Davis/Thomas in together, and they get a lot of DC tourism, so that is why I was thinking of the Purple Fiddle.

The Purple Fiddle is a landmark, dammit! (I live in WV, too.  Did I get the town right?)

I grew up in one of those suddenly coolest towns (it was a coal ridden hellscape when I was growing up).  The locals want the tourist money, but not the tourists.

I have lived all over the country and found that attitude in a lot of places. And it is definitely worse in small towns. I live in a town of about 15k now (probably 200k people within a 30 mile radius), and nearly all of my friends are from out of state. The locals are just too hard to make friends with because they

I can relate to the bike story, and there are few things in life as satisfying as a good meal after a day or three on a bike.

I second this.  I have learned so much about small towns by sitting at bars and just talking to people.  Also, find the greasy spoon and sit at the counter.

I was thinking that about the Pittsburgh reference.  Pittsburgh is a mid-sized city, not a small town.

Any time I travel though small towns, I look for stands or shops that sell locally made jams, syrups, and sauces. Those are the only souvenirs I take home.  I love them!

Adventure cycling puts out a magazine with its subscription, and they are good at describing the food and culture in small towns.  It might help that they are based out of Missoula, MT.  But it also helps that they travel by bike.  When you travel by bike, you see things and talk to people.  You can’t just zip

I moved to near Pittsburgh several years ago, and I firmly believe it is the most underrated city in the country.  And the food is better than most cities with a reputation for food.  I was shocked at how good and diverse the food scene is.  That Bon Apetite article has a few classics, and a few that I still need to
