I am a woman who competes recreationally in a couple of mixed-gender sports (triathlons, ultrarunning). I think we need testing and lines drawn, and I think that the triathlon governing bodies are taking a good approach. Anyone can compete as a man (as long as they aren’t doping, and they are checked for testosterone

Ah yes.  Way back in the early days of the internet.  It is funny that one of the first super popular uses of the internet was obsessive fandom.

“Necco wafers, Necco Sweethearts, Clark Bars, and Mighty Malts”

I have noticed that religious people also tend to make less money and not eat as healthy. They go home after church and have tuna casserole while the rest of us went to the farmers market and got and fresh vegetables to eat with our free-range chicken.

I do think it is ironic that a movie that was blatantly about evil space nazis has become the favorite of so many white supremacists.

I suspect that it is also partially due to women choosing to have home births either because of expense/lack of insurance or because they are tired of being treated like shit by the medical system.

Just as every internet comment about why feminism isn’t needed proves that feminism IS needed, every internet comment about how awful Star Wars fans are will result in Star Wars fans proving that yes, they are awful.

What?  I swear I thought she died shortly after one of those celebrity Big Brother type shows.

I cringed so hard when I read that.

That made my day.  I love how she followed him a few steps and made sure he didn’t get away.

I have requested they cover what I consider to be really interesting aspects of women’s sports, like when Shirin Gerami raced an Ironman triathlon and the extent she had to go through to find clothes that were safe for her to race in but that kept the death threats she was receiving from Iran at bay. I have also

And if she does write more often for Jezebel, can she write about women’s sports?  Because men’s sports are boring.

My husband and I have been watching the Tour de France this month, and two things immediately jump out related to this. One is that there is a women’s version going on at the same time on the same roads, but it is getting NO coverage. The only reason that I was aware of it was that on one of the stages, and announcer

I am Gen X, but I think in a lot of ways Millennials are smarter about money than we were.  It is better to have experiences than things (I will take travel over jewelry any day).  Also, my generation scrimped and saved to buy houses that we couldn’t afford and support a pyramid scheme that goes back decades only to
