Also, not even close to the rustiest truck ever and certainly not of that body. That is a child’s play amount of corrosion. This is much more like it..

I’ve made other rants referencing Asia as a possible home... I missed SA, but yes, cartel nations are a good guess too. So, my racism was intended to be universal (and it also included the car staying in the local area of it’s theft).

And according to 24 my cell phone will work on a submarine...

Good point.

Sounds like what we were theorizing about the other day. This is mostly growing pains from Ford rushing to market and not properly backfilling the dealer network with parts and training.

They take care of that themselves

I had a buddy with a M37 Power Wagon that rigged a helium neon power supply to a spark plug in the tail pipe. Get the motor spinning good, pull the manual choke, and flip the switch... WOOOOOF... 30 feet of fire...

It looks like they’re also taking the wrecked Miata back, as well — I wonder if there’s value to be had by inspecting the car, as it’s likely the first real-world example of crash damage to a production MX-5, and there’s likely something interesting to be learned there.

They’re pretty notorious for becoming loose.

I’m dead convinced that the 258 is impossible to kill. I’ve never heard of one failing that wasn’t completely outside of the realm of anything remotely reasonable (ex. being filled with water, multiple times, by trying to cross a river with it).

Is there not an option to swap a 300 I6 in? Those motors are beastly.

This is exactly correct... However, with a few resistors and things here and there, you could easily fool Renix into providing a lot more fuel for your stroker motor than you can with Chrysler injection.

Nothing says enormous balls like the guy riding shotgun literally hand pumping gas to a motor that is shooting fire right at him...

If my memory serves me the 4.0 only goes on the stand with 2 bolts. That is actually my bigger concern... You break the bosses off the block and your motor is done. I was just watching it wobbling around and cringing. I could tell you weren’t “leaning” on it, but since you admit you’re new to this stuff it’s something

Gonna need a Terminator T-X to hack into my TJ and probably aid from God to hack my Eagle...

Inline motors reign supreme for durability. Way more bearing area/main vs. a V and in 6 cylinder trim are naturally balanced.

It needs that kind of lift too. If the motor is still out the Comp XE cam for the 4.0 is a great choice.

Your results were totally to be expected when dealing with a 4.0. I bought a ‘93 4.0 motor, which still ran fan but had started to smoke a bit at 280k, to use on a 4.6L build. The cylinders still have factory cross hatch in them and the head looked fine, but the valve steam seals were going (hence the smoke). I’m

People watch Nascar because you can get drunk as hell watching it and not lose track of the race. 24 beers and 3 hours later only the last 2 laps are worth watching.
