It's precisely because people talk during films that I started going solo a long time ago. It is really irritating, especially when said person is making inane commentary, chatting about something random, or asking you what is going on. I understand if English is not someone's first language, but if you're just

I've never thought it strange and, in fact, I take great pride in having perfected the cinema-going routine. Other, less-enlightened, people I've known find it odd. Who cares?

Watching films alone in an empty cinema, in a seat just towards the back in the centre of the row, is one of my greatest joys. I will go with approved movie buddies however.

Oh I also do my routine at the Apollo. I'm an incredibly multitalented human being within the confines of my bathroom apparently.

In our defence, he is the best.

Do you do regional accents?

My life generally.

I'm afraid I only skimmed the article in order to state that the existence of Kelsey Grammer as a perfect (or entirely neurotic) Frasier Crane allowed for the existence of David Hyde-Pierce as Niles Crane. This mere fact counters any wrong Kelsey Grammar may commit in his self-aggrandising autobiography. When the gods

Britta's Britta'd her hair, but Gillian Jacobs pulls it off.

Jokes seem solid.

Honest Trailer's Jon Bailey!

BRING ON THE MOVIE!

If I recall correctly, Yvette's father is unfortunately pretty ill and so she's left to take care of him.

Steins; Gate, which you apparently haven't seen (or don't remember), and must now watch immediately for the sake of this world line and the next. ;)

Explorers of Time and Darkness (and presumably Sky) honestly have some of the best plotting Pokemon has ever done. Definitely worth playing if you liked Gates.

My parents had a fairly catastrophic wedding day:

My uncle managed to slice up his hand on a fan (no idea how) on the morning of the wedding and so my mum and her family had to take him to the hospital to be bandaged up. There was only one car, dad was picking up his parents from the station, and traffic was awful, so

Fuck Andou and Tomoyo. I hated their self-absorbed attitudes, particularly after Hatoko's breakdown and their generally callous and uncomprehending responses. By the end of the series, I just wanted Hatoko and company to seal them away in their own delusional dimension and join the auxiliary crew who were far more

Without any of the panache that made KLK KLK...The visuals are lovely though.

This is a really solid list Richard (with the exception being A.Z, which is by now the "What stupid thing with Slaine do next?" show). Thanks for highlighting some of the lower profile shows too. Kudos.

Yatterman has one of the best female protagonists in a while and the emotional beats and tonal shifts are always

Indeed it does. Looking forward to the film!

Planetes is one of the best space sci-fi adventures.

Steins; Gate is an absolute masterpiece and must be watched by anyone who enjoys a well-wrought sci-fi mystery. Beware, the first half of episode 1 is purposely disorientating, but it's honestly one of the best stories committed to screen or any medium for that

GARO: Honoo no Kokuin is a series currently airing and seems like a good match. Two knights of mythical power—a father and son—travel from town to town ridding the world of spirits which prey on the insecurities of people. It's beautifully animated, can be outright hilarious, and does some excellent character work.

Not entirely sure what's compelling me to do so honestly—altruism maybe? :P
