No, they're not. I have an iphone. I sometimes take photos with it, that doesn't mean photography is somehow my hobby. Playing games sometimes does not mean you are a gamer.

That 45% statistic is a false one. That "study" includes people who play farmville for 30 minutes a day as a gamer. They are not gamers.
