Good luck having it be the main media hub then. Which is what they wanted to do.

Sony does have the rights. Along with multiple other companies. They have to license it out to whoever wants to purchase it, they don't "deny" people on the basis of being a competitor.

"Sony only partly owns Blu, along with lots of other companies."

You forgot lack of blu-ray. And before some dumb ass chimes in with "so they don't give sony money hurrr" -then explain to me lack of dvd. Also that Sony only partly owns Blu, along with lots of other companies. It would hardly be giving them that much money.

Not really though. Consoles should (as far as I'm concerned) be built with the newest tech in order to last the longest, because they are not upgradable. A PC you can upgrade even if every part is brand new.

"next-gen"(( . )) **

No, I do not condemn the U on the sole basis of being weaker than the incoming consoles. I do so because the tech it used is years old, and it passed off years old tech as "next-gen" The U should have been made with near top of the line tech of today (2012), that way, when PS4 and 720 release, it would up to date. All

But that's the thing though. I'm not asking for it to have everything because I can only afford one. I want it to to be top tech like the rest, so the games have no restraints that aren't present on other platforms. I want it to be the best it can be, and with old tech, that will never be case.

I think you need to work on your grammar then. By definition you cannot be a fanboy when you own everyone's consoles. Also, I don't live with my parents dumbshit, that should be pretty apparent after all that I said, but apparently I wasn't clear enough. The Wii is the only thing I sold, since it was crap. Also nice

"Isn't this exactly what is going to happen when Sony and Microsoft get their next gen machines out of the gate?" I'm not totally sure what you mean here. Their consoles aren't only going to be superior on the basis of coming out a bit later, they were already going to be tech superior when Nintendo decided to go for

You can't be a fanboy when you own(ed) all the systems. I had a SNES through Gamecube. I had a Wii for about 5 minutes before selling it. I have every Gameboy through the 3DS. As well as Sony and Micro consoles. And who's bragging now? Why the hell would you buy multiple systems?

Pretty hard to admit I was wrong when I wasn't.

I don't care about the terminology. My point is the tech is not next-gen, but rather barely current. I'm not even saying the Wii U is crap, All I'm saying is that this isn't the newest tech on the block, which is true.

I belong here more than you do.

I'll paste my reply here too so you look less ignorant.

The Wii was a huge financial success, but a failure in just about every other regard, and especially the most important one. You know, getting people to actually play it. And having games that weren't Nin's. 90% of people that bought one played it a few times a year tops and left it collecting dust.

The N64 was more powerful? I wonder fucking why idiot, maybe because it released OVER 2 years after the PS1.

You're the only one who looks ignorant. They have never released them -because- they've always been underpowered.

The only legitimate reason Nintendo has for not releasing specs itself, is that it realizes the console it released is underpowered. Specs are something you should want to show off, not hide away from the public as much as possible.

As I said to the person above, He cannot "redeem" himself. He is the direct cause of 3 deaths, and multiple other near death experiences. Unless he magically is going to save 20 people, there is literally no redemption. One "oh look I saved a dude or two's life" is nowhere near enough to atone for what he has caused.
