That’s totally understandishable. So much of the first playthrough is table setting. I was disappointed at first with how empty the world seemed, but by the time you’re finishing ending C, the map is filled with enemies, and so many of them are upgraded. This kinda reminds me of my days in art school, and how so many people are introduced to “stylization” just through making justifications for their shortcomings haha.

For me it’s the opposite. Nier has a very engaging story and interesting characters.

It’s hard to re-frame your mindset after playing BoTW. Those two games are really apples-to-oranges, but tastes are so different. I had a friend trade in BoTW after failing to get into it after playing through Horizon. To each their own.
