Elaine Maybe
Of course, as in Jack Nichols and Elaine May.
I wish Celine Dion’s marriage to René Angélil had gotten this kind of scrutiny.
“It seems worth a gentle reminder that just because a relationship is legal doesn’t mean it can’t be icky or embarrassing.” Objectively, such age gaps (and more importantly the experiential and referential differences they tend to cause) generally make such relationships more difficult, but “icky or embarrassing” are…
The list of other names Firerose considered going with when she changed her name was found scribbled on the back of an Applebee’s napkin:
- Trashorange
Her Cabin in the Woods character is more morally grey than villain, and, well, she was kinda right. Her Futurama character is also very Fatal Attraction.
Because people can do the bad boy thing without actually doing the bad boy thing.
Yeah, I just feel like he’s the actor having the most fun on the show and people respond to that. It’s not that deep.
true, I don’t love The Grudge but I still think Gellar made it memorable. And Hoovephonic playing while Gellar is on the run in I Know What You Did Last Summer is one of the best slasher scenes out there.
That’s a silly comparison because Lena Dunham is a real person and is insufferable the way a real human is and someone you can imagine dealing with in your daily life (and I am Girls defender). Cersei would be a more apt comparison. The character is awful human and sexy. It is what it is.
Marilyn Burns will always be my #1. Just so damned RAW.
Exactly, not single one of us would date this dude in real life mostly because we would ask why he hasn’t been arrested yet. It’s a fantasy, people should leave it alone. Not everything needs to be critiqued in this manner. He’s hot, the actor is charismatic, and the show in general doesn’t have a lot of swoon worthy…
That linear thinking holds you back.
No Sigourney Weaver is an unbelievably massive oversight. The Alien franchise, Ghostbusters, Cabin in the Woods, and in one of her first roles, she played Woody Allen’s date. Absolutely chilling.
How is SMG not in the top 10?
From what I understand, having only read Fellowship and seen all the Jackson movies, is that much of what this show is covering is laid out more along the lines of bullet points. Like there is mention of major events and characters, but outside of that not much else. So the team behind ROP has a loose outline of…
I’ve mentioned this before regarding other shows. Depending on the viewer some shows are worth watching on a weekly basis, and some shows are better off just binging. It’s just a preference. In the end, the way some shows are made, they’re better off being binged. Of course there are some shows that are great…
I think Paddy put it best when he said that when Aemma died, so did Viserys. His illness was a lifelong penance walk for how she died, and he was essentially forced into his second marriage. He got his sons, but at the cost of losing one of the only two people he ever loved and of alienating the other.
The show seems to be implying that the kids spent a lot of quality time with Ser Criston Cole, which admittedly would fuck up almost anyone.
I haven’t seen this brought up before, so now’s as good a time as any: how do Viserys and Alicent have such shit children? Not Helaena, she’s fine, but really now, Aegon and Aemond are almost cartoonishly abhorrent. Where does it come from?
