To be fair, before environmental impact studies we used to do stuff like build a highway across a dry river bed nobody noticed and none of the workers gave a second thought to, and then when we got a nice big rain the town next door goes underwater.

Or re routing the feeder streams for a reservoir to make a better off

the Sonata is so boring i forgot it existed until you mentioned it

I should add that Reddit is nowhere near as supportive of my Olds Aurora obsession, my deep deep desire for broken saabs, the weird boner I get from french cars, and especially my recurring fantasy of building a PT cruiser rally car entirely from junkyard parts.

I already drew up a measured drawing for the roll

I think the best word I’d use to describe Jalopnik as a whole is hyperbolic (as in hyperbole, not as in the math stuff).

But its always been that way, at least since I’ve been here (which is... fuckin 9 years or something like that... when was college again?). Thats why I came here. Thats why I still come back. Its not

“i have 4 hospitals with in 5 mins”

Holy shit. I’ve got one in my city with no trauma capabilities, and then the next hospital thats any better than that one is an hour a way (there are actually a couple of that size about equidistant)

My brother is an hour from the nearest hospital of any kind, and where I worked for

I disagree. This is very real in the US. Maine Medical in Portland is the only hospital in Maine that offers ECMO for example, so if you live in Caribou thats 5 hours for either you to travel or for Maine’s portable setup to get to you. And if its already off in Bangor your straight fucked. I’m sure someone in Caribou

thats not true at all, our hospitals are very diverse in their capabilities and equipment. Its actually a really impressive network of places, some do this, others do that, way out in the boonies they don’t do much.

a little bit of “octane booster” fuel additive acts as a nice emulsifier to keep the two in suspension

We complain to keep people away. If I actually tell everyone how awesome my little city is, soon it will be a crowded shithole. That was the mistake california made in the 60s, it was great so they shouted it from the mountaintops, and then we got the sprawl that is today.

This is why Massachusetts has, for decades, been playing up the idea that the whole state is a crowded, overtaxed exurb of boston filled with assholes and bad drivers.

We’re already full, we don’t need anyone else moving here to crowd us out. Its like bragging about a super exclusive underground club, soon it won’t be

depends where you live. New Hampshire? Probably OK. New Mexico? Not so good.

Lithium cells aint nothing to fuck with

Well, I’ve been in two accidents and one of them was a small front overlap.

So based on my subjective statistics, which is what the internet runs on, I’d say half of all accidents are small overlap.

Sound logic right?

If i won the lottery I’d buy a spotless old hardbody...

Having spent a fair bit of time in providence, i dont have the slightest idea what the hell your talking about. Its definately the city I miss the least, and i lived in Buffalo and Windsor, ON.

Providence has all the presence of rochester and less to do.

If they used that though, theyd have to include Buffalo.

And I dunno if youve spent any time in buffalo, but, I think we’re best leaving her off the list.

man is it gonna be a bitch if you crack your windshield

Needs more selective yellow

I’m not sure when you speculate they started building cars to only last 5-10 years, but I’ve got a 6 year old car, a 10 year old car, a 17 year old car, a 26 year old work truck, and a 38 year old motorcycle.

My truck was not built to last 25 years back in 1990, its lasted that long because of constant maintenance and

“ride-sharing” proper is kind of a werid thing. There are some real niches that its fallen into in a big way. Not that I think they are big enough niches to impact the auto industry, but calling it nonexistant is incorrect.

For instance I live in a small but very dense little city with a large university as its primary

find a way I can graft a 2cv onto that platform and I’ll throw all my worthless blue collar simulation money at you.
