All of the mothers on the show were working at at least one point over the course of the show, with Angelica's mom being a high-powered business woman. Phil and Lil's mom was more traditionally masculine than their father. Chuckie had a single dad.

This isn't really relevant since Tubman wasn't the butt of the joke here. This was not good comedy, but to imply that it was intended to ridicule Tubman is just way off base
