We can argue all day, but torque wins races. Imagine having a high Hp motor but unable to apply said power. When the massive amount of blood gets to the tires, torque and proper application of said torque is gonna get you through that massive pile of bodies. More Hp would just a smoke for the full effect.

I remember watching the off shore racing on the Speed Channel back in the day, man that was some cool racing.
