It’s one of those things, If I were to ever start my own car company, I’d offer free insurance IF the buyer keeps their car maintained by one of my dealerships. The car is never safer than when it leaves the factory (or at least had all it’s recalls serviced). If a car is allowed to deteriorate it becomes a liability

I’m pretty sure that’s where they put all the rear leg room.

Things learned too late. Even if you have the money.... First it’s “oh, now i need something with a back seat” then one the 3rd comes... It’s “now I have to seat 5?” and choices get extremely limited. The Dart would do it, but again, goes back to the money issue.

I don’t know anything about the other 2, but it’s hard to imagine Fichtner being fun... But will remain open minded, I just hope they aren’t quite a crude as the last 3.

One day, perhaps...

Not many good pics with those wheels. Hasn’t been driven in years now, blew engine right after I got married, 3 kids later, no time or money to work on it. These were all taken before I had a digital camera worth anything.

Where do I start?

Part of the problem is that many (if not all) CnCs have no real structure or governance to them, nor are funds gathered to cover the cost to police the event. There may be some localized sponsorships that help cover certain costs, but generally it’s not enough to cover the cost of officials, security, EMT or the

Our local C&C in Nashville (Franklin, TN) has had to deal with a lot of this, they’ve been trying to redirect traffic to leave in different locations and are trying to prohibit spectators at the exits hoping that’ll decrease the stupidity.

Should we really mess with the Mustang like this? I thought Mustangs at C&Cs were like the American equivalent to this.

I think in general, the 90s was the end to the good affordable everyday driver. Cars were simple, they did what they did well, and didn’t cost a fortune. My 94 XJ 5spd 2wd got around 25mpg on my 40 mile commute, fit the whole family and could take a bit of abuse. There’s no newer SUV that could match it in

My uncle was involved with the rover’s development along with several other NASA projects over the years. I never got to spend much time with him growing up, so most of what I’ve heard is 2nd hand. Wish I’d gotten to spend more time with him.

about to blow your mind....

Wow, this will make for a toy even lamer than RockLords.

I would agree. I’m not sure if that is what is going on, or if this was a poorly worded statement. “U.S. cities are considering the purchase of $10 billion in electric vehicles to show there’s a demand for low-emission vehicles”.

NASA should allow spectators at its rocket tests”

I’m good with this, I have always felt that Sedans were for people without anything really important to do, like haul things. Fine if all you have to do is move a few people from point A to B, but rubbish if one of those people has 4 legs and fur, or is a box.

Yeah, it definitely looks more like the original Gone in 60 Seconds then the over CG’d car movies of late.

So instead of obvious product placement from Dodge (F&F Series) or GM (Transformers) we’ve got more subtle product placement from CarMax.
