That was my assumption as well.

If this were a gas car, I’d check it’s tank for ethanol content.

So... how soon can I rent one and what’s the closest major airport to Moab?

probably your biggest reason the R8 was kept fairly conservative.

Now playing

The most obvious choice, is a surplus Humvee...

Would love to be there, used to live in the Springs, but stuck in TN now.

yeah, it’s kinda like hiring Frank Ghery to design a house around a door that came from a Frank Lloyd Wright house.

Did somebody say Parks? Anyone need some custom playgrounds designed?

I agree, very few really find a way to keep the corporate grille design and have it work across every car. BMW probably being the most successful at that. It fits just fine whether it’s a 7 series, Z4, SUV, 90s Concept Car, or vintage race car.

eh?

I (as an industrial designer.... so my opinion counts more... right?) hate the current Lexus grille, the rest I can take or leave and it’s generally better than whatever they thought they were doing back when this came out

I would argue that the existence of the Nitro was warranted, however the execution was completely wrong. The fact that it had no off-road ability doesn’t have to be it’s down fall, it’s the fact that they attempted to glam it up too much. What they had was a truck frame based small(ish) suv with a 5000 lb tow capacity

It may have some history, but i’ve never particularly found the breadvan all that attractive. It’s like the real version of a cartoon version of a real car.

I noticed this watching the 2nd episode of APB, except with dodge chargers

time to bring back the semaphore signals, problem solved.

Next time this happens, I want to see the Tesla driver set the auto pilot, and jump from it to the other car to take control while the Tesla drops back with every light flashing to alert traffic.... Just saying, it’d be cool to hear about.

Could be a reman

If it’s like any other Japanese car of the era that I’ve seen, they couldn’t get a hand, stamp, and hammer down far enough into that engine bay to do it, probably have to pull the engine out just to get to it.... at that point, i guess they may as well give it a new block for it’s trouble.

If you had a 21 year old car and someone offered to replace you engine block for free (considering this would include all new gaskets, possibly new seals and bearings), would you fuss?
