I’ve not driven any post PCA Chryslers except a rental compass, knowing a lot of the newer cars are Alfa based, many of these don’t shock me.
Unless they’re all huffing NOx out of their tailpipes, their real owner experience probably isn’t that bad. I think most are just upset about being lied to more than any tangible (in that they would notice without diganostic and/or scientific instruments) issue with their cars.
I would suggest that the death of the manual has more to do with preventing warranty services for a wear item. We all expect a clutch to eventually wear out. How soon it will varies by driver, conditions, etc. But a torque converter is more predictable and less likely to fail before the warranty ends.
Sounds like someone at GM needs to be trying to make deals with rental agencies.

At more than $1 Million more than the LaFerrari, $1.5 Million more than the 918 and $1.3 more than the P1, maybe people are waking up to a more realistic everyday driving performance potential over “fastest car in the world”. In that setting it’s hard to justify more than a million more for at most 2/10s of a second…
