Yay for the Vibe.... except mine that needed a new engine.

And for the cars behind him that got caught in a massive pile up???

Now.... Stare at this

Here’s the real reason so many supercars stick the engines in the back... to prevent damage to the cars most expensive parts when the driver’s an idiot.... Sacrifices have to be made, put the drive between the engine and the impact to soften the blow.

I’m fine with the woodgrain...

likewise the pontiac vibe and/or matrix

It’s possible there’s more than one.

I had an uncle that worked on both of these programs, but sadly we lost him about a year and a half ago, though my aunt (a secretary to the Mercury 7 astronauts) thankfully still is.

So, If Fiat has a Miata based car.... how can we convince them to let that trickle down to a low-buck Dodge or Chrysler version?

I was hoping no one would point that out...

Can we count this? They developed the engine

best or worst.... doesn’t matter, it’s definitely a favorite.

Autoweek still printed alot of black and white back then.

Yeah, I think it’s the lonestar with a wrangler body. It’s a terrible execution, but it does make me think about the possibility of a Duesenberg style customization to a wrangler.

keep in mind... i didn’t say i liked it.

the prowler? yeah, way way back before they launched it, they strapped on a wrangler body for winter testing. remembered seeing it in an autoweek or motortrend back in highschool

reminds me of the old prowler test mules.
