I could see a 4th BTTF film, but not a reboot. If Lloyd is getting too old to take a run at it, it could be that he leaves marty a note that he’s left him a rebuilt time machine and that marty needs to time travel once again to do something like save Doc Brown’s sons from something. Since the car would need rebuilding

of course, i’m making an over-generalized rash statement with no intent on backing up or defending my argument....

At some point, you can sort of make the same argument against NASA and our rocket program being based on Nazi weapons of mass destruction.

These things were great. I had a ‘75 Dart, and used it way too often and not just for changing tires. Best use was when I got my car stuck in mud in the middle of a field (doin donuts), I just jacked up the back end, stuck a board under the tire, and was back at it. You couldn’t have even gotten one of the modern

kinda makes you miss bumper jacks, stupid modern plastic bumpers.

older model maybe?

yeah, but the accord coupe with RWD and a heck of a lot more power (like these) wouldn’t be too bad...

Just to be clear, it’s the emissions that’s the issue and not their fuel economy right? Cause I’m willing to bet there’s about to be a ton of high mpg used cars hitting the market soon. Do a simple grease burning coversion and there ya go.

Now playing

This is still the coolest door ever, but, having had one in the family, I also know how unreliable it was, so, no, I don’t want to rely on one for a primary egress point.

truth be told, as much as i would like a truck, i’d love to have my Dart back on the road again, blew the motor the month after we got married, 10 years later and it’s still sitting waiting to be towed from our family’s farm house to my house. (part of why i want a truck that can pull car). I’ve got a police spec 318

yeah, it’s a toss up on some. I want reliable (just did a 4400 mile roadtrip over the last week and half and have another 14 hour trip to do this weekend). So either new enough not to have a ton of problems, or old enough to be easy to fix on the side of the road. If i went older, i’d want something pre-fuel

Naturally. And of course i’ll have a couple escort vehicles as well.

studebaker did it better

i just need to go on and have this thing built.

there is always this....

holy cow, i haven’t been around that many camper shells to know they were that heavy, just moved an old fiberglass shell from a long bed compact and only needed my dad to help, but it was a pretty cheap cover.

yeah, i have a hard time looking at new trucks as expensive as they’ve gotten. gonna have to go with something in the 5-10 year old range.

They are both legitimate depending on your need, either can be removed when needed, just depends on how much trouble you’re willing to deal with and how close to home you are (to drop off the shell) I could go either way when not hauling the dogs, but unless i had stuff in the back, i’d probably just not bother with
