http://images.craigslist.org/01010_iAStm8ge… http://nashville.craigslist.org/rvs/5223019551… for a bit more, you could have some more headroom, and what looks like a small kitchen.
Just to be clear, it’s the emissions that’s the issue and not their fuel economy right? Cause I’m willing to bet there’s about to be a ton of high mpg used cars hitting the market soon. Do a simple grease burning coversion and there ya go.
This is still the coolest door ever, but, having had one in the family, I also know how unreliable it was, so, no, I don’t want to rely on one for a primary egress point.
truth be told, as much as i would like a truck, i’d love to have my Dart back on the road again, blew the motor the month after we got married, 10 years later and it’s still sitting waiting to be towed from our family’s farm house to my house. (part of why i want a truck that can pull car). I’ve got a police spec 318…
yeah, it’s a toss up on some. I want reliable (just did a 4400 mile roadtrip over the last week and half and have another 14 hour trip to do this weekend). So either new enough not to have a ton of problems, or old enough to be easy to fix on the side of the road. If i went older, i’d want something pre-fuel…
holy cow, i haven’t been around that many camper shells to know they were that heavy, just moved an old fiberglass shell from a long bed compact and only needed my dad to help, but it was a pretty cheap cover.
yeah, i have a hard time looking at new trucks as expensive as they’ve gotten. gonna have to go with something in the 5-10 year old range.
They are both legitimate depending on your need, either can be removed when needed, just depends on how much trouble you’re willing to deal with and how close to home you are (to drop off the shell) I could go either way when not hauling the dogs, but unless i had stuff in the back, i’d probably just not bother with…
yeah, still need the 2nd row of seats for the kids though. if they did one of these van with a half passenger, then with the rear done that way, i could go for that.
I’ve seen some I really like, I wouldn’t have a problem driving one, as long as it doesn’t have the 5 cyl they stuck in them
Did you ever see the hummer h3t concept, it had the side door, too bad the production version wasn’t as cool.
Yeah, I actually like their’s to an extent, it’s a great idea, until you need something out of it while hauling a load of something. .. I’d consider a Ridgeline personally since it’s rare I’d need to haul large items, but the wife doesn’t care for the style and I’m not crazy about a truck that defaults to FWD.
We’ve got big dogs, My wife breeds American Bulldogs and I’ve got a Bernese. Currently we haul them around in a mini-van, but once funds allow, i’ll be moving towards a crew-cab (probably a smaller one like a frontier). So the camper shell would be great for hauling them around, especially in the winter without having…
yes, there were donuts.... not in the yard though. We were headed to some get-together on our 2nd or 3rd date, we were way too early, so we went to ride around for a bit, she dozed off and I found a vacant cul-de-sac. She woke up thinking we were in a wreck, but laughed it off. We’ve been married now for 10 years, so…
