I want to see them interview and test drive cars with the car’s designer(s). Then critique their work in front of them. Chris Bangle especially.

I wouldn’t mind seeing them try to break back into the small sport coupe market. I was really liking the last of the Eclipses, considering buying one last time I got a car (hard to fit 2 kids and a 130lb american bulldog, so i opted for a vibe)

this thing’s been sitting for 10 years... and i’ve got a police spec (roller) 318 to drop in it.

Late 70s import fans.... All the love goes to the early 510s, 240s, etc.

Early in my dad’s AirForce career he was stationed at Minot with the MinuteMan II program, which included transport, safety inspections and manning the silo. I grew up hearing all sorts of stories about the MMII’s and how different (relaxed) security was with nukes back then compared to today. Fun stuff...

Define American.... This was an Austrailian Import with a Pontiac badge.

It could be that the other driver took the inside first and forced him to the out.... Also better to be where you can see the edge from the driver seat.

could have been so much worse, there’s some 6-10k foot drops from that road.

Accurate?

I’m not sure what it would be, but in the case of severe issues that pose a real and present threat to the safety of others, there needs to be some balance between holding one’s car hostage for profit and the mechanical equivalent to taking the keys from a drunk.

That’s not that far off from how we design playgrounds.

Where’s the Mess?

Always remember, they may not be parking that way because they are jerks, or super anal about protecting their car, it may very well be that they feel the opposite about their car, the additional space surrounding their car is to ensure they’ve got room to maneuver a jack, a creeper and some tools to address whatever

Any GM with a 5 speed + Quad 4. True, you had to replace the head gasket every 60k miles... but a 180hp 4 banger in the early 90s was pretty impressive.

“I would go right to the Mercedes-Benz museum, where they have one of theJurassic Park ML320s on display.”

My brother and i have both had 91 gm models with these belts, they were a terrible design for those that habitually wore their belts anyway. Mainly due to the fact that if the door were to come open in an accident, you might as well not be wearing one.

I would ALMOST buy that.

I’ve thought about compiling an automotive forensic database that would help identify cars by specific details. It would work by narrowing down the possibilities based on characteristics of the vehicle. Car or Truck, number of doors, grill location, and the more specific details like is there a small side window
