I’m hoping that this show hits its stride soon because it has promise - but the mugging into the camera as if to say “see what I mean, audience!” and the “will they/won’t they” Jim/Pam b.s. really makes it difficult to stay with it, even though it has so much going for it.

Sure, if they were famous.

Oh no, is this going to end with a Beach Boys song and my 8 year-old finding out that Buster died in Vietnam?

Agreed. But they do need to tackle the bigger issue: what happened to all of the neon lapel buttons and shiny latex suits people wore in the future of the original series?

I wonder how they’re going to make 9/11 work?

Young Al, Dr. Ruth, the guy who escaped and Al had to chase him down in the future so Sam could leap before he was killed, and Lee Harvey Oswald - if I’m remembering correctly. They really leaned into the waiting room in season 4

Paul F. Tompkins would make a great Gushie

I had always hoped it would be Sam’s daughter going back through time looking for him. Also, I hope whomever takes his place solves racism as a white person in a black person’s body as well as Sam did. My liberal guilt needs massaging.

“Like the other iterations of the show, each episode will be an hour long”

I’m ready for a Batman break for a decade or two.

Only if John Laroquette reads the opening narration.

“And in case you’re wondering why it took so long for Matador to finally release the reissue after fans badgered the label to do so for over a decade (and after the label had reissued every other studio album by Pavement on an every-other-year basis), there’s a good explanation for it mentioned in the press

Your college roommate is too cool for Pavement now.

“After all, this is one of my five favorite Pavement studio albums.”

“Robert Plant & Alison Krauss”

Relax - this was completed back in 2019 or early 2020 before the Pandemic. Unless they return him to his home planet in a last minute editing fix, he’ll be there.

Worst experience? Clearly this guy hasn’t worked at a Carl’s Jr. for a 10-hour shift where the manager tells him he won’t get paid for five hours because of a screw up with scheduling.

“Complaints against series hosts Candis and Andy Meredith, accusing them of going over-budget, falling far behind schedule on their work, and failing to pay various contractors (who then came to the homeowners looking for what they were due).”

It’s more difficult to name all of the Marx brothers.

This article doesn’t mention the films that AV Club folks probably most remember him for - namely Sneakers and Shoot To Kill. Sidney Poitier and Kirstie Alley had some CHEMISTRIES.
