This is 100% the correct response. Maybe its a generational thing , but I kind of feel like someone needs to remand the internet that two guys or girls can be close without it being a sexual relationship . That “every character is automatically at least Bi” attitude around shipping is pretty insulting , especially for

I get where you are coming from. But implying that 2 dudes being friendly with each other should be gay also diminishes that 2 dudes can also be open with each other and trust each other in a way that isn’t “toxic masculinity”. What I mean to say is they are best friends who care about each other. Atlus definitely

How exactly does this game get “a pass” when there was enough controversy that the composer donated his entire salary to charity?

Is your argument that unless you can talk about all problematic things you can’t talk about one problematic thing without it seeming odd that you’re not talking about all the other problematic things?

> A lot of big name VAs such as Jennifer Hale have a lot of range and as a result have the entire industry in a chokehold

That is exactly what they’re doing. In a competitive game you cannot afford to NOT have access to heroes. So make the grind shit, make the newest heroes overpowered so you HAVE to have access to them or you’re left behind.

I generally agree with this article, but as both a Deck and Switch owner, I’ve discovered that there are strengths of both.

The problem a lot of people seem to be unable to fully grasp is that an unfaithful adaptation isn’t necessarily a bad one. The Witcher Netflix series while not faithful to the source material is a great series. The same is true for the video game series.

John Carpenter’s The Thing is completely unfaithful to the source

This story is missing the really cool context: this episode all began with one Deviantart image by a Simpsons fan.

All true, but if her claims were true, you'd expect to hear something from the Union criticizing Platinum.  And Hale, another Union member, would be open to a whole lot of criticism in the VA community, which afaik, hasn't happened.

$15k for 20 hours of work should be enough to last you at least 4 months. If you can’t find contract work within 4 months, you might be better off going for a salaried job where you have to work many more hours for far less pay. That’s just the nature of contract vs salaried. One pays much more per hour but the other

Yeah, this one’s definitely on Taylor. She, intentionally or not, led everyone to believe that Platinum/Nintendo were only paying her $4K for all voice work of the main character. According to her latest comments, she got paid 3000£ for the first game, so $15k is actually a nice improvement, I think (even accounting

Yeah, per bloomberg which latter corroborated by at least 2 other newsgroup.

First thing first, Why she is trying to inflate Bayonetta franchise number? where that 450 million comes from?

This WAS a union gig, which puts her claims into automatically dubious territory.

Doesn’t this corroborate Bloomberg’s “at least $15,000" report then? Presuming her story is accurate and they then later downgraded it to $4000, this would lend weight to the theory Platinum engaged in the Japanese business custom of lowballing to get someone to refuse. Just now it seems like they did want her but

This is just so messy. She was definitely unclear, she made it sound like the 4000 were for all sessions as the main character (I double checked, assuming she had been misunderstood, but no, she definitely made it sound like that), and AFAIK didn’t mention the 10000 - 15000 value. This makes it clearer and actually

Could be. Combined with Carlsen being unwilling to admit he just had an off day and looking for some way to avoid having to admit that he screwed up that match.

I’ve said for well over a decade that Smash is first and foremost a party game, and that the competitive players are doing it wrong.

Oh good. Maybe once we officially reach the point where:
