Halfway through the book I reached peak annoyance with the references and just tried to coast to the end. This campaign for the film is giving me PTSD.

They say that with the same rationale as Trump voters. Excessive cognitive dissonance. They actually believe there is a reality behind the “reality show”.  

I was a huge Coen fan and as much as I liked Fargo, I thought it felt too mainstream compared to their previous work (even Raising Arizona). So when TBL came around I was just excited that signature Coen style was back.

I hate to be that guy but...I saw this in the theater and instantly loved it and thought it was superior to the breakout Coen hit Fargo (which I also saw in the theater at the Seattle Film Festival). It took me years of convincing before people in my circle finally caught on to its charm.

I think it is definitely always the latter with him. He’s no dumb-dumb.

I actually tried this out when I first cut the cord. I had a lot of problems with it. It would cut out randomly and sometimes take 5 minutes or more to reconnect. More of a pain than it was worth. YMMV.
