I've heard the phrase "burying the lede" for years - probably since high school or something, 20 years ago. But until today, I had no idea it was spelled "lede" and not "lead". To bury the lede means to present important information after presenting unimportant information, so "burying the lead" makes perfect sense.

I had to Google "lede". I am now a little more educated. Thanks!
