My point is access to the internet helps pick up the slack and it would be worse without it. Libby’s tone seemed to imply it is making it worse. It’s not enough, but it’s not making it worse.

This is CLEARLY an educational fail, and the same can be said for any sort of racial atrocities in American (or Euro-centric) history. The genocide of Native Americans is glossed over, slavery is glossed over and even taught as a two-sided issue (and people fight to distance the Civil War and the Confederacy from…
I wonder how many people know 20 million Native Americans were killed by the European invasion.
Can’t wait to live in a world run by internet-addled kids raised on algorithmic YouTube suggestions and memes, who know how to code but not what the Holocaust was. Gonna be great.
Whole lot of nope. Survivors of trafficking don’t want this. It’s a horrible bill that only people who either hate sex workers or don’t understand how trafficking works would support. https://survivorsagainstsesta.org/
Hey, uh, you might want to check in on what she thinks about bombing Syria.
He doesn’t give a shit about amazon and its effect on brick and mortar retail; He’s going after Amazon because Bezos owns the Washington Post. The Post is doing an exemplary job of smashing down anything he says or does
White people want to be poor so bad.
No disrespect...but explaining to “white people” that we don’t care if they don’t like who we like just seems like a big exercise in futility at best, and a weird form of respectability politics at worst. We can agree to disagree tho, it’s cool.
I love you for spelling it correctly, though....
And here is the list of Democrats that should be run out of the party on a rail for collaboration with evil.
The teacher never corrected my elementary school music class as we talked about the mack-ah-bray dance. It was years before I realized I was saying it wrong.
Apparently this is a thing for people who read much more than they speak. I’m terrible about mispronouncing words that I know very well, but only rarely use in colloquial speaking. When it comes up, I typically get called to the mat for it by my co-workers, which, of course, makes me want to talk even less.
I looked into buying an entire block in Detroit. The problem there is the properties come saddled with debts, many in excess of the value of the building in good condition, let alone as is.
Not really “housing”, though. Those houses are rotted shacks, long ago stripped of every last pipe and wire.

Good point! This happens constantly at a few different restaurants I’ve been to. Ask for a couple of extra dressing cups of BBQ sauce? Get an entire plate to carry them. I’m guessing it’s to avoid the perception of an unsanitary mode of transport if the server was instead using their hands? But their hands had to…
Oh the tyranny of many side plates!
I wish him all the good fortune in the world.
Like 10 years ago I was having a morning quickie with my girlfriend. She wanted me to give her a facial so when I was close I pulled out and came...all over the face of our 6 month old kitten, who awoke from a nap due to the commotion and came over to the bed to investigate what was going on.
