Apparently this is a thing for people who read much more than they speak. I’m terrible about mispronouncing words that I know very well, but only rarely use in colloquial speaking. When it comes up, I typically get called to the mat for it by my co-workers, which, of course, makes me want to talk even less.

Ok, fair in this context. When viewed as the larger “starving artist” concept, however, I’ll stick more to my guns. The stereotypical starving artist isn’t just Patreon users who are getting stuff stolen. It’s artists who aren’t selling anything AND aren’t getting content ripped off.

If an artist can’t sell their art, then it’s because it’s not anything that other people value.
