It’s really the same thing. “Not my problem” becomes synonymous with “not important” when you have the right thing to do right at your fingertips.

He’s not being an ass, he’s pointing out that the point you’re making is based on incoherent labels and categories that exist in your head.

you never see a child at the grocery store? never encounter an elderly person in an elevator? are you positive you never touch a door knob or light switch that may be touched by a child or older person in the next 48 hours?
You do realize you can spread the virus without showing symptoms, right?

This logic is totally chill and awesome if you never leave your house or simply don’t care who you might infect should you get influenza.

Your point is stupid, though.

Zero still isn’t greater than any positive number. And people in dense urban areas are in contact with greater numbers of people, especially if they use public transportation. I’ll get my shot.

What about the immunocompromised who might also have a contraindication to receiving the flu vaccine? What about infants too young to receive the vaccination? Their only protection is everyone else preventing the spread of flu. You don’t just vaccinate to protect yourself. Get the shot to protect everyone.

Okay....

Healthy adults go out among people who are elderly, pregnant, very young, or care for them. The flu shot isn’t 100% effective, either.

It gives them a chance to say “black-on-black crime,” which immediately disproves the existence of racism and renders all discussion about police brutality moot.

she basically single handedly reduced Lybia to a failed state

‘I don’t understand any informed voter not voting for Jill Stein’. You can ask them, they’ll tell you. Maybe start there?

Let me guess. You are 20, white, male, straight, consider yourself an ally but don’t have any minority friends, are still in college, recently discovered Chomsky, are a Leo, and frequently have fantasies about how you will respond to interview questions once you are famous.

“We are coming”

lol

Like you said, the point is to sell clothes. Models market the clothes by wearing them. Their faces market magazine covers. If your face is bland, or your look uninteresting, what’s the incentive for people to stop to check out the cover/contents?

Yes!! The “you are not a real ____” is probably one of my biggest pet peeves. It’s so fucking condescending.

I do think he’s wrong. They are literally there, participating, working, and getting paid, so they do have something to do with high fashion. Regardless of how they got there, they’re currently there. Personal feelings of how they achieved that role don’t discount the fact that they ARE in high fashion.

“Don’t be over-dramatic”

“That is fair”
I could eat a box of popcorn and it would be as sympathetic as this
