If it’s the same realtime system as the Civic RT, I had one, abused the hell out of it, and it held up well. The axles were the weak point.
The old 5-speed auto, yes. The newer ones (with more gears) are a little more robust. Not bulletproof by any means, but leagues ahead of the old one.
