Thanks for your thoughtful response as well! I actually wrote a whole big thing, more than 2000 words, commenting in detail to each one of your assertions, but then realized I don’t want to be “that” guy who ruins the comments section for everyone else by using it to publish a short book. To sum up: I partially agree

I personally believe that all persons should be treated with respect, and that we should do our best to care for those we love. These are beliefs that are not based on evidence - they are moral, normative beliefs. You also made normative claims in your comment - that ignorance is bad, and that some people are not

Thanks so much for this, and your other post. I was trying to figure out a way to say something similar, but I think you said it better than I could have. All I can add is a personal anecdote.

Consider this my passionate defense of 2017's Battlefront 2 as the best Star Wars game in 2022. I usually don’t play online multiplayer games, but I’ve sunk hundreds of hours into it. I don’t think there are many better Star Wars experiences out there, especially considering you can pick up a copy for the price of a

I read this comment last night and I just couldn’t stop thinking about it. It’s extremely well constructed and well-done, and the fact that you welcome criticism is just so rare on the internet...

The system does suck, though. I mean, deported on the spot? They weren't even allowed to get their stuff? And it sucks for the kid, too. Imagine living somewhere all your memorable life, and then being thrown out for no apparent reason. That's a serious dilemma. The parents may have been Mexican, but the kid had been

Why did she bring up Hotline Miami? That game is on her side. It's a statement about the reliance of games on violence and senseless actions.

Though I don't agree with everything she says in this video, I think that many people have been put in such a position of automatic defense by the constant criticism by uneducated individuals that when actually valid criticism arises, the consumers are unable to accept it as constructive criticism. It would be nice if

I think the reason why people act differently when it comes to physical stealing as opposed to digital stealing is that digital stealing doesn't hurt the developer (as much). When you steal something physical, you know that money and resources went into making that product, and that someone out there is losing their
