I actually see what you mean. I saw a pre-production 911 on the highway at night about a year ago and the camo it had made the rear lights look mustang-ish and I initially mistook it for one. From behind it has a somewhat similar “fastback” look and the 911 is now so big it’s almost as wide as a Mustang.

This sounds ghastly. Would be funny to see some accessory maker do it though.

*whispers* GM’s truck design language is mostly ripped off from Ford.

There is no 4' box in the US Ranger.

I’ve never been a fan of this when the tail lights appear to continue across panel gaps in the body work. Inevitably, you will open and close the rear door or trunk lid enough times to just ever so slightly offset the panels by a couple millimeters and then it looks sloppy for the rest of eternity.

I’ve had my 2019 Ranger for about a month now and it’s brilliant. I own the first model year of the base Cayman. Also brilliant.

It’s been very helpful to start treating every statement coming from Trump’s mouth as if it’s opposite day. You really get great insight into what the truth is because like you said, his lies are just the opposite of whatever is true.

Oddly, Ford stock us up today after the investor call. Seems like it went better than expected?

My requirements for a car I would spend my own money on are:

THIS. It’s funny how the closer I get to paying off my student loans, the more offers I get for “free money”.

I work in the industry and I continue to be surprised by how many rich people just want that low monthly payment. Basic personal finance education is quite rare in America, regardless of income level.

There are plenty of dealers that have Focus ST and Fiesta ST stock that has been sitting on their lots for a very long time. I’m sure they’d love to sell them to you at a discounted rate.

The model year/calendar year discrepancy gives automakers a ton of leeway when it comes to product timing.

Yeah when I read the headline I was like well this guy must have been trying to deposit at least 5 figures. Nope. How naive of me. Keep sharing these stories so people like me can get educated.

I like to remind myself that the way most people see car enthusiasts like me is the way I see watch enthusiasts.

Not correct. Look at the official image Ford released of the Bronco under a blanket. It’s going to be boxy, body on frame, and compete with the wrangler.

This is the ONLY official image Ford has released of the Bronco, and it’s definitely not a grocery-getter CUV. The fact that they’re taking so long and being so secretive about it tells me that it’s going to be very unique and pretty hardcore.

Not true. Same platform but completely different body.

Yep. I work with dealers all the time in my day job and I have had to explain to them that this is a fan rendering that has nothing to do with Ford.

Not true. There will be a Ford off-road oriented CUV, but the real flagship bronco will be a true body on frame off-road truck with pretty boxy looks. Might look more like a wrangler though than an old bronco.
