It’s somehow worse that those mind-shatteringly annoying “That’s not a Buick!” commercials.
“a bunch of buzzwords ejaculated all over a PowerPoint slideshow.” Yes.
Name vehicle over $50k that isn’t some sort of status symbol?
I love what Regular Car Reviews is doing by diving into the cultural and social significance of individual cars. Part of what makes them so entertaining is their contrast between high-brow literary and historical references and low brow Bottom Of The Toilet Bowl humor. They also review the best range of vehicles. I…
The same goes for the North Pole Special. Those were real stakes. I mean, Jeremy got shoved into 0 degree water and they genuinely had moments of real peril. The few written jokes were realistic enough that they didn’t distract from the story.
100% agree. I think “Wheeler Dealers” is a decent car build/ restore show because there’s zero contrived drama and they actually deal with a really interesting variety of cars, not just land yachts with V8s.
Agreed, I am so done with the endless american muscle restorations. They are not interesting in the slightest.
More modern cars, more high performance cars, younger people. Most of the Velocity channel shows are about classic cars, which are very boring to younger people. Younger people helps too. the former top gear trio is an exception to the rule because although they are all old, they behave as if they are around 10 years…
I sell parking spots on the lawn and back yard of my apartment building for football games. How would I tell a fully autonomous car to park in a specific spot on the lawn? For most of the spots you have to drive over the curb/sidewalk to get in and out, and for some of them you have to sort of push the bushes with the…
I feel like Marchionne is more influential than Mary Barra, given that his reach is wider. He controls Fiat, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ferrari, Maserati and more, giving him influence over every major segment from cheap economy cars to off road vehicles to high luxury to American muscle and supercar performance. Ferrari…
Colin Chapman would be proud
He is an alien who came to earth to show us the future of cars.
Yay for Michigan Engineering! Go Blue!
Converted transmission in a VW sounds a bit too scary for me.
Too many people mistakenly assume that the light weight body and smaller turbo engines are for fuel economy reasons. According to the Chief Engineer of the F-series the primary decision point for going aluminum was better overall truck performance, with fuel economy being a much lower priority.
Maybe, but it could be cutting it close if they average 25mph over 8 hours (200 miles, no idea if this is realistic but it seems reasonable) plus lots of stop and go, plus constant air conditioning, people charging phones, music and GPS usage, It could get sketchy towards the end of the day and you definitely don’t…
