As housing in NYC gets crazier i can see something like that taking off imagine one of these with a feature to automatically look for free parking..so a bot battles traffic while you chill out on the couch..it would probably be cheaper than a years rent

I feel like no one has see the true endpoint of this. Streets full of Autonomous RV type vehicles. Once you don’t have to drive, why not lounge around while the vehicle takes you to where you want to go? Why not have a fridge? Why not a TV? Why not a bathroom? Heck a kitchenette to cook some snacks up on your way to

The problem with that list is it seems very heavily influenced by cost of repair. It can’t be a coincidence that most of the models on the “worst” list are expensive cars to begin with, so will usually have expensive repair bills. It doesn’t necessarily mean their problems are worse, just that they are more expensive

Hey, well, that’s just like your opinion, man.

OK, so you don’t like matte finishes...this is a lot of words to get that point across no? Aside from plasti-dipped heaps, matte finish is still a legitimate choice and far from outdated. Done right I think it looks great, as I’m sure many do. And it’s advertising on an F1 car, hard to make that different or exciting.

I find it hard to believe that many people would assume that a 17-year old SUV design would be somehow safer than a 4-year old MPV. Anyone that’s been paying attention even a little bit knows the scale of safety advances that happened in that period.

I wonder ... The big Banff probably produced a ripple. Could we find the actual center of the universe? What if we find a ripple preparing backward from it, could we see proof that the universe is not infinite? Could we see if it’s not spherical?

I’ve had plenty of time to do stupid things. Lost a few friends along the way while I was at it. But no, I still have the urge to drive too fast, and jump out of perfectly good airplanes or climb a rock face. I just limit my risk exposure where possible. Why climb without a rope? Why jump without a second chute? Why

Yeah, I remember being young and dumb.

I think imitating the DeMuro shtick is cute, but you’re going a little overboard. On that same CR list there was only one, that’s 1, domestic nameplate ahead of VW at 13. Every other brand is ranked lower (like Merc, GMC, Cadillac just to name a few). Audi is 3rd for fucks sake.

well, overall, Ford isn’t any better than VW according to Consumer Reports

This may be the most biased, fact-devoid shit piece of journalism today on Gawker. What an achievement!

Of course you can also get yourself killed driving the Alfa much easier than in the Porsche. Strip out all the weight from the safety equipment and that Porsche is going to be both better and faster.
