There was one forum post with 99% of the comments responding to FUD. Also, there was no investigation. No wonder why Gawker went bankrupt.

But wait...if 37 out of 40 complaints were fraudulent, wasn't tesla right to not admit anything wrong?
As far as I am concerned fake HNTSA submissions are a bigger issue, than snarky reply from Tesla. I see sarky response as perfectly appropriate to false accusations. Also, Niedermeyer and other trolls shold be investigated by SEC for possible attempt to manipulate stock prices for their financial benefit.
As many others have mentioned, modern cars don’t benefit or require as much from a “break in period”.
We’ll be adding this Chevy ad to the pile of hypocritical ads pretty soon I think.
Weight is the unclothed emperor of the auto journalism world.
The engine, trans and t-case is hosing is aluminum. They have cast aluminum control arms in the front suspension and differential housing as well. It does seem stupid to use it as a truck bed, as I think most people wold realize that aluminum is significantly less malleable and has way less impact resistance than…
I see your point, but that’s not always how marketing works I don’t believe. There is no obligation on their part to qualify what they’re conveying. Even if they DO plan on eventually coming out with something similar. They do this because: A) the average consumer won’t remember these ads anyway and B) they’ll surely…

It’s still ugly as shit.
This is done purposely to help the car look larger and give the illusion that it can compete sales wise with the small crossover segment (which is destroying sedan sales and has pretty much killed off the coupe). This type of thing is done repeatedly in advertising. If you notice the composition of the image of the…
Most Buick owners believe the larger the car the safer it is. With her standing beside the car, the thing looks the size of a school bus. Marketing Win.
And columnists whine and kvetch about the popularity of crossovers. You know WHY people like them? Because of this. All these crash standards mean the beltline and cowl of modern vehicles is really high, so smaller people can’t see out of the things. But you get into a crossover and they’ve also raised the seating…
But still, why on Earth did they hire her? It was an incredibly poor choice by the marketing team.
