No, let it burn, get a new one with insurance payout.
I make this request EVERY time one of these comes up without the year stated in the ad. Sadly, we’re still left to guess. This one’s probably ‘76.
You should start including the year in these articles, because for a young’un like me I genuinely can’t tell if this ad is from ‘70 or ‘85.
“It came over from World War II fighter jets,”
Unleaded water only; none of that Flint stuff.
$150k for a sub 500 horse 6 cylinder? Go f*** a goat BMW.
I’d tend to agree with this being a frivolous lawsuit done either intentionally, or due to a lack of understanding about how an SCR system works.
Not sure I buy that, as the stunt (full on defeat device) is so boneheaded, it’s hard to believe more than one company would have the required combo of hubris, arrogance, and idiocy to think it was a good idea.
The new Boxster motor will be a flat-4 (like it says in the article) I’d bet there’s very little similarities between the two—outside of the marketing department.
I find it hard to believe that there is really any synergy between this racing engine and the production boxer engine going into the 718. It seems like an outdated notion that there even should be any relation between a purpose built race car engine and a production car engine.
This is the way to get into aviation. I’m not suggesting every potential airline pilot starts a metal band but find a career you enjoy that pays well and use the money from that to fund your addiction.
This is surreal. Can you imagine - sitting at the goddamn dinner table eating something delicious while your old man rants about “That fuckin’ guy Enzo” and lays the groundwork for one of the greatest supercar companies in history ?
Call me jaded or whatever, but a V8 Vantage hardly qualifies as a “dream car” in my book. They’re not special enough to attract any kind of attention where I live, and it’s not like the car is so expensive as to be unattainable, which is, I think, crucial to being considered a “dream car.”
If they really wanted it, then nothing is a deterrent. If it is a relatively casual thief and your car has a minor inconvenience and the guy next door’s car has no inconvenience then guess who is buying new wheels (hint: not you).
Nah, I work Monday. I’ll just go use the heated seats in my 981 to help sooth the burn.
so you’re just a shithead then. got it.
Read the history of Porsche and how it all started with the beetle.
