I don’t think it’s that important whether a laptop or iPad is in a bag or carrying case or whatever. I’ve always assumed that they’re barking confusing and somewhat-contradictory orders at people in order to watch their reactions. Maybe I’m giving them too much credit.

“As God is my witness, I thought women could fly.”

Wow, that’s stupid of them. If anything, oil should be a loss leader. You never walk into one of those stores and buy nothing but oil.

Damn, that sounds biblical.

2D plots don’t tell the whole story when it comes to turbocharged engines. There’s a time axis and a load axis that would require a four-dimensional graph to portray in a single graph.

Wranglers get a 300 HP four-cylinder turbo that sounds like a hive of angry bees!

+1. Do you want Christine? Because this is how you get Christine.

Well, the fire did a good job on the soul, I’d say.

These are handy tools, but if you buy one, watch out for the incredibly poorly thought-out placement of the power and shaft lock buttons. The latter button is used to keep the shaft from turning when swapping out the mandrel. If you press the black button while the motor is running, thinking you’re pressing the blue

And you still get a $500 engine.

You can probably find some old Usenet postings of his on alt.books.tom-clancy if you can find a server that goes back far enough, or if you can convince Google Groups to cough it up.

No, no, that’s just ice cream

I’m sure glad I don’t get all the roads I pay for. There wouldn’t be a tree left standing for miles.

That’s revolting.

You could do a lot worse than to drop the V8 from a Ford GT into any number of underendowed Ferraris, or Porsches for that matter. I don’t care if my Ferrari has a Ford engine, as long as it doesn’t rub my face in that fact every time I turn the key.

Owned one (‘92 968 cab, MSRP about 55K, purchased new at ~45K.)
